I remember Jessica as a charming and talented young ACT chess player. When she told me she was moving with her family to Queensland I considered it a loss to ACT chess and I followed her later career with interest, and sadness when I heard of her death.
I have for some (many!) years been working on a history of the Doeberl Cup chess tournament, which I now expect to launch at the 50th Cup in Easter 2012.
Working currently on 1995 I find that Jessica finished off one of her games with a nice combination. As my intention is that the book will cover the many ordinary players (like myself) who have participated over the years, as well as the big name stars, I plan to include Jessica's game. II think she deserves a niche in ACT and Australian chess history.
Best wishes
